Zugegeben, es ist sicherlich nicht so schön, aber der starke Schimmel und die Feuchtigkeit im Haus sind dankbar, dass der Efeu endlich verschwunden ist.

Auf geht’s in die nächsten 5 Jahre des Renovierens und Umbauens!

    Looks good though, can’t stand ivy, grows everywhere, strangles everything, much better without.

    I’d be tempted to replace it with artificial ivy because it looks soooo much better with it.

  3. You could replace it with jasmin – doesn’t destroy brick and is evergreen.

    I’m sad visually but it makes sense if you where having problems. Is there another climbing plant you could replace it with that wouldn’t cause such issues? Little project maybe.

  6. It’s much like people who think Venice is ‘so pretty’ – I have to point out to them that the pretty house wall has probably not been painted in 200 years and why don’t you think like that at home in the spare bedroom?

    Ivy might ‘look nice’ but behind it’s doing so much damage.

    Great job getting rid of the ivy, I hate the stuff and it does so much damage. Your house will be thanking you already. Beautiful house by the way 🙂
