    Creeping buttercup?

If it is then it sprouts out from itself and can quickly creep across a border. Get a little handy small fork tool and twist them out; then follow the stems and twist the next on and if you keep on top of the odd sprout should go away.

Looks like creeping buttercup. It’s a bit of a git to get rid of. Spray/ dig out and then mow it when seeded to keep in check.

Looks like creeping buttercup. Only way I know is to dig them out by hand. Unless you went the weed killer route but even then they’ll probably still be in the way by the time you want sow.

Or if that’s meant to be a lawn you aren’t fussy then just mow it- throw some grass seed and some prunella and have a meadowed lawn

  5. I think it’s creeping buttercup. If so unfortunately i can just suggest pulling up as much as you can, digging the roots out where you need to. Iirc they’re not deep, but they grow fast. The runners come out of the soil pretty easily.

I generally leave it in my lawn now as the flowers are nice, but appreciate that especially when sowing grass seeds you may not want this.

The roots go deep so careful how you remove them.

They do respond to most weedkiller sprays. But it’s a fucker. Gets everywhere
