I also live in an ancient house with 10ft ceiling – I have an avocado and loquat tree, passion fruit vines, peppers and lemons everywhere.

We grow herbs in containers and a small vertical hydroponic system makes 18 lettuce in a very small footprint.

So gnats a problem?
I’ve been wanting to do something like this too! How warm doesn’t it get in there?

Also. Do you have to have different soil for indoors?

Our basement ceiling is only 8ft and very dry in the winter and very humid in the summer. Did ours on a smaller scale. Currently wrapped in moving blankets to keep heat and humidity in. Finally got it to maintain 50% humidity.

How are you maintaining temp and humidity without growing mold?
