Not enough fertilizer i would say. Yellowing strongly from bottom to top whilst top growth is still Green but relatively Light in color. Ur Medium doesnt Look overwatered so ill just exclude that.

Brown spots is a clear sign of Not enough CalMag.

So ill say give some nutrients and everything should be ok

  2. I’m no specialist but the plants do look a little yellow, do you fertilize them? Additionally have you inspected if there are thrips on the infected leaves? Pests like them look like ground coffee or even black appearance, as well as spider mites..

If that were my basil plants I’d cut the black leaves off, and keep an eye out for other plants that start showing black spots. If the disease continues, you should consider a treatment such as a fungicide. If that doesn’t work, assume soil is contaminated with the disease and will remove the soil where the plants were growing that had leaves with black spots..

  3. Give them some fish emulsion and let them do their thing for a couple days.

Basil doesn’t require a lot of nutrients, but this looks like it’s nitrogen deficient
